This is our real wear transfer: as you skate, the graphic wears down naturally to reveal the wood ply beneath, the same authentic wear pattern you see on pro shop decks.
Why heat transfers for custom skateboard deck graphics
Heat transfers beat screen printing on detail — photorealistic images, gradients and complex multi-color artwork reproduce cleanly with no per-color setup penalty. That makes them the practical choice for custom one-off decks, small-batch brand runs, shop decks and limited editions. The graphic becomes part of the deck surface: it looks, feels and skates like a pro board.
How it works
Your artwork is printed onto the PET carrier film, color by color. Position the film on the deck and press with heat (around 200°C) and even pressure using a heat transfer machine — the ink bonds to the wood, then the carrier is peeled away, leaving a crisp, durable graphic ready to skate. Artwork specs
Print-ready PNG or PDF at 300dpi and actual size (9 x 33 inches for standard decks), with a 0.25-inch bleed. Full-color CMYK, gradients and fine detail are all fine — that is where heat transfers shine. Low-resolution files print soft; we flag files that will not meet the quality bar before printing.
